the ubin trip was fun!
except for the waking-up part
had to reach changi village by 8
n i planned to wake up at 5.30
instead i got my butt out of the bed at 6.30!
tat means i had a 99% chances of reaching there late
n not to let my prediction come true,
i took cab
n there goes my $13.30

reach there 30 mins earlier,
so went to had breakfast
nasi lemak
then meet up with the rest of the participants
i think this is the 3rd time i've been to ubin
well, i love singapore,
tats y i seldom go offshore
reach there n meet up with my teammates,
yetty n yulin
i didn't know them until now
but as u know, i'm a friendly person
so i can make frens easily
*puked*

the race is simple,
get to the stations the fastest,
or earn the most points by taking the pictures required
or both
after awhile, the ubin race commenced!

our first stop was mamam beach,
at the north of pulau ubin
on the way, yulin took alot of photos,
some for personal, some for the race
for those who hate bees,
dun go the mamam beach!
i tell u, the bees there like free lidat
so many bees...
but as brave as always,
my team n i just continue to march onto our first station
this station requires u to half a hanging string,
with fire/heat
n after seeing how the other team does it,
we had an easier job
i think we only use less than 2 mins
which was quite fast

then proceeded to our next station:
chek jawa hse no.1
there, our task is to complete a questionaire.
n again, yulin took some pics that she felt "artistic"
n we also saw wild boar, monitor lizard,
cotton bug, and a dragonfly tat is always posing for us
anyway rested at the hse after completing our tasks
had nasi lemak for lunch again

move on to our 3rd station:
the sa"murai" hut
this one was easy
just work out the correct ans on the paper attached to the trees
we took less than 5 mins for tat
before gg to our 4th n last station
we took a detour back to mamam beach, but via another route
saw a domesticated boar n some rare birds
n a pool full of water lilies

continued to our last station: pekan quarry
this station is worth only 5 pts,
but its the hardest station of all!
u hav to juggle a chapteh* consecutively
without letting it drop onto the floor
i cant juggle a football well,
n they wan me to juggle chapteh?
OMG!
but we still managed to get pass the station swiftly
n went back quickly to finishing line
ended the race 9th/11th
considered not bad, as my team n i are frm different courses
n we only know each other today
haha
